We are trying to link bank account with QBO but while linking we are not able to find the bank name in list of the QBO. can you please help with this?

I can help you connect your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), nehap.

There are several reasons why you can find or connect your bank, and I've listed them below:

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. Make sure you have selected the correct listing or have tried all possible links. Search by the banking sign-in URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.
  • Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs business accounts).
  • Your bank is not a participating financial institution.

To fix this, search for the name of the issuing bank. Then, make sure the spelling is correct. You can also use the bank's URL if the issue persists.

In case none of this fixes the issue, try other versions of your financial institution that are listed:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Select Link account.
  3. Enter the name of your financial institution. When it appears, select it from the list.
  4. Select the link to go to your bank's website. This opens a new window.
  5. Make sure you can access your account through this site. See if you can view your account summary, account history, and account details without any errors.
  6. If you can access everything, sign out of the financial institution's website.
  7. Go back and continue to add the account in QuickBooks Online.
  8. Continue to add the account to QuickBooks Online.

In addition to that, I suggest requesting to add the bank to the list of supported institutions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Select Connect account or Link account.
  3. Click 'Still can’t find your bank?'. Scroll down the page to find this.
  4. Enter your bank name and web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

In the meantime, I recommend manually uploading transactions into the program. Doing so ensures you can review your transactions and categorise them. Allow me to provide the detailed steps.

First, get the transactions from your financial institution:

  1. Sign in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow the instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download begins at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions and save the file somewhere you can easily find it.

Once done, upload them to the program:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose Upload transactions or Upload from file.

  3. Click Drag and drop or select files and add the downloaded file. Then, Continue.

  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, choose the account you want to upload the transactions. Then, Continue.

  5. Set up your file in QuickBooks to match everything, then Continue.

  6. Complete the setup to ensure you can import the data successfully.

@nehap-nncl-outlo

If QBO doesn't yet support you bank, you can use one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
