I'm an accountant in Jamaica and currently using Quickbooks online plus. Where do I find the option to add my accounting clients?

Quickbooks Online Accountant is not available in Jamaica and I need to add my accounting clients asap

I'm an accountant in Jamaica and currently using Quickbooks online plus. Where do I find the option to add my accounting clients?

I've got your back, spencer. Let me help you with having your client add you as their accountant in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

You're right that there's no QBO Accountant version in the global region. What you can do is let your client add you as an accountant user. However, please know that this option isn't available for a QBO Simple Start subscription. If you have the QBO Essentials or Plus version, note that your client can only have one accountant user.

 

To guide you further, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Let your client sign in to their QBO company as a primary admin, then click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage users, and tap Add user.
  3. Select Company admin and tick This user is my accountant.
  4. Click Next, enter the accountant's name and email address, then tap Save.
  5. You will be emailed a link to sign into your QBO company.
  6. Until you sign in, your status will remain as Invited on the Manage Users page. After accepting the invitation, their status changes to Active.

 

Once you accept the invitation, you can access their QBO company by clicking Switch company from the Gear icon.
