How do I record export of services

You can create a service item so you can record your export services in QuickBooks, @ops9.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), it’s easy to track how much you make and spend on each service. Simply enter these services you sell as items so you can add them to sales forms. Doing this will give you more detailed financial reports and helps you complete transactions faster.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select the Products and services tab.
  2. Click New and select Service.
  3. Enter the name, then select the category in the Category drop-down list.
  4. From the Income account drop-down menu, choose the account you want to use to track the sale.
  5. When you're done, select Save and Close.

Once done, you can now create an invoice and choose the export service item in the Product/Service column, then fill out the rest of the field and click Save and close.


You can also run the Invoices and Received Payments report in QBO. This will show you the list of payments that you've received and the invoices that goes with them. Just go to Reports and search for the Invoices and Received Payments report.
