Thank you for posting your concern in the Community, @scott47.

Let's get this sorted out so you can upload your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and get you back to working order.

May I know if you are referring to the date field on your Excel file? If so, it's possible that your bank doesn't include the date column upon exporting it from there website. You'll want to enter each date of the transactions manually so you can import it to your QBO account. Or maybe the date column was hidden that's why QuickBooks won't recognise the date field. Please make sure that there's no column hidden on the file so you can import it successfully.

I'm adding this article to know the format of the CSV file that can be imported in QBO: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

However, if the gone Date field you're referring to is on the mapping page, it's possible that your browser stores frequently-accessed data, thus causing QBO, to act weirdly. Let's try logging in to your QBO account using a private or a different browser.

If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh.

If you get the same result, I highly suggest contacting our Phone Support Team. This way, they can further investigate this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this resolved.

Just in case you want to match or categorise your transactions, feel free to check out this article for the detailed steps and information: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
