Hello @userjoan-lee,
When exporting a company data from the desktop version of QuickBooks to the online one, we'll have to choose the correct online account which has an active subscription. Let me outline the steps so you can completely export your data.
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more creating a copy of your company data: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, I've got you this helpful article for ideas about the expected outcome of your data after the export process: What to expect when you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?
Please know that the references included in this post are base on the US version of QuickBooks but the same principles applied to your current version.
Keep me updated in the comments if you have any other questions. I'll be here to lend a hand.
I tried to choose the company I created under Quickbooks Pro but it was not available in the drop-down list when I was selecting the company. I tried also creating a new company but it also resulted in Quickbooks Advanced instead of Pro.
I am confused with your question. QB Desktop and QB Online are living in 2 different realms. You may export or migrate data from QBD to QBO, and keep manage both data individually. You may create and manage multiple company files on QBD. But you are only able to manage one company file on QBO.
