Importing Journal Entries

I get the following error when importing journal entries.  "These contacts don't exist in QuickBooks. Go back to your CSV file and match the name with a QuickBooks contact."

I can't figure out where the "contact" is located, or which contact it is referring to.

Importing Journal Entries

Thanks for letting us know about your concern, @jp 3   Let me share ways to help you import journal entries successfully.

The error message you received refers to the names imported in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Which occurs if the names you're trying to import aren't listed.

During the import process, the system will indicate which specific contacts don't exist in QuickBooks. To address this, you need to add those contact names in QBO and classify them as either customers or vendors (suppliers). Refer to these articles below on how to add them in:

Furthermore, here are some articles to help you learn how to print a journal entry report and the frequently asked questions about importing data in QuickBooks Online:

I'm always here if you have other questions about importing concerns. Have a good one.
