Migration form Quickbooks commerce to Quickbooks online

Hi All,

as Quickbooks commerce is sunsetting and that unfortunately, I can´t transfer the ownership of the subscription to our US subsidiayr. I have to change my system and move to quickbook online (or another alternative if needed). I have a trial-period and many questions but have not yet got answers from the live chat of Intuit.

Maybe here, I will be more lucky:
We have different subsidiaries (one in Europe, one in the USA and one in Japan). Today we have everything under the same tool which allows us to easily manage orders and shipments of our products from the different warehouses (one in Europe, one in the USA and one in China). To make a final decision, I would need some answers to the following questions:

- Inventory management

How to have a consolidated view with 3 different accounts?
How do we manage inventory for online orders with Woocommerce and orders from different countries (EU and US)?

How to import existing stock from 3 places?

How manage multiple shipments from different warehouses for a same client?
How to we manage stock transfers between warehouses if needed?

- Customers imports?

How to integrate most details history from Quickbook commerce exports?

- Sales order and invoices history:

How to integrate QuickBooks commerce exports?

How to import order history: several lines on CSV for one order (one line per product ordered)?

How to import invoice history?

How to import purchase order history?

- How to import Products Listing?

- How to manage price lists? EU: different price list according to VAT %

- How to manage reseller discounts strategy?

This is the right place to get the answers you're looking for, @Yannick A.

I've listed them down below:

  1. How to have a consolidated view with three different accounts?
    • You can create three different accounts for each subsidiary. Each one requires an additional subscription. You can access them with the same sign-in info. This helps you quickly switch between companies. This way, you can manage everything more efficiently.
  2. How do we manage inventory for online orders with Woocommerce and orders from different countries (EU and US)?
  3. How to import existing stock from 3 places?
    • You can create a spreadsheet of your products and services in Excel. Then, import them to QBO.
  4. How to manage multiple shipments from different warehouses for the same client? How do we manage stock transfers between warehouses if needed?
    • QBO doesn't support multiple locations for inventory. The Location Tracking feature is used for tracking transactions from different offices or departments, not the actual inventory location. You may consider looking for a third-party app to manage stock locations.
  5. Customers imports?
  6. How to integrate the most details history from Quickbooks commerce exports? How to import order history: several lines on CSV for one order (one line per product ordered)?
    • QBC works together with QBO to power your orders, inventory, and bookkeeping in one system. However, there are some limitations on transactions imported from QBC. Take note that this article is from the US. However, it also works for international versions.
  7. How to import invoice history?
  8. How to import purchase order history?
    • We're unable to import purchase orders to QBO for now. You can look for an importer tool to help you with this.
  9. How to import Products Listing?
    • You can create a spreadsheet of your products and services in Excel. Then, import them to QBO.
  10. How to manage price lists? EU: different price list according to VAT %?
    • You can set price rules in QBO. You can offer discounts or charge different rates by item. However, it's only available in QBO US and CA versions. You may consider having a third party app to integrate with your QBO.
  11. How to manage reseller discounts strategy?
    • QBO allows you to add a discount to an invoice or sales receipt. You can turn it on from your settings.

QuickBooks Commerce (QBC) helps you control your orders, inventory, and sales data for your online channels. It's best integrated with QuickBooks Online (QBO) to power your accounting. QBO will help you track your income and expenses, give you a view of your overall business performance, and help you stay ready for tax time.

Overall, if you're a wholesaler, I'd recommend having an inventory management app to manage your resellers with multi-list prices. QBO supports thousands of various third-party applications for any functionality you may need. Head to the Intuit App Center and type a keyword in the search bar.

Additionally, you can check out this article to help you get started with QBO: Set up Company Settings.

Stay in touch if you have follow-up questions or concerns, @Yannick A. I’ll be right here to answer them for you. Enjoy the rest of the day.

@Yannick A

You may have 2 options to explore:

1. Migrate your data from QBO Global version for Europe and Japan to US version. You may need to purchase a 3rd party conversion service to do so.

2. Switch your QB Commerce to another similar app to integrate with all your QBO accounts. We may recommend one app to explore and you can ask them to migrate data from QB Commerce.
