I'll share some information when importing accounts so you'll be guided on what option to choose, German.
For now, eliminating existing accounts in your Chart of Accounts is unavailable. As a workaround, you can make the account inactive. Afterward, import the correct accounts and ensure that you're not using a similar account name to those in your existing accounts. To make an account inactive, follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
- Find the account you want to delete.
- Select the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.
You can also use a third-party application if you want to have an option to delete an account in your Chart of accounts. Search one online.
Moreover, QuickBooks lets you run reports to make sure you'll get the data you need. You'll only have to customise them so they show the right data. Here's an article for more details: Customise Reports In QuickBooks Online.
