Can't write the SKU on the invoice form

Let me guide you on enabling the SKU box on the invoice form using the Airy-type template to prevent it from being blocked.

Writing directly on the SKU column on the invoice form is unavailable. To show the SKU details when creating invoices, ensure you've entered this already when you set up your specific Products and Services.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Settings icon and select Products and Services.
  2. Select the specific Products and Services, then click on Edit.
  3. Enter the details in the SKU field.
  4. Click Save and Close.

I've attached screenshots for your reference:

Also, you can enable the SKU column on your Products & Services page to view them:

In addition, we can go to the Custom Form Styles tab to confirm the invoice template you're using. You can follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the Settings icon at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select Custom Form Styles.
  4. Choose the invoice form style you're using and select Edit.
  5. In the Design section, click Change up the template.
  6. Ensure you choose either the Airy New or the Airy Classic template.
  7. Then, go to the Content section and select the middle part of the invoice form.
  8. Scroll down to locate the SKU box.
  9. Put a checkmark on the SKU box to enable it on your invoice form. Then, click Done.

Moving forward, we can now create an invoice and select Products and Services with their SKU details:

However, changing the label name SKU in QBO is currently unavailable. With this, I'd recommend sending Feedback so our product developers can consider adding this feature in future updates. Our product developers will receive your feedback and help us highlight and improve our product.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settingsthen select Feedback.
  2. Enter your product suggestions.
  3. Click Next to submit.

Furthermore, once your customer pays your invoice, you can use this article to learn how to record the payments: Record invoice payments in QBO.

I'm happy to assist you with further needs concerning SKU on the invoice form or other QuickBooks matters. Have a good one.
