Can we send balance payment message to customers ?

Yes, you can definitely send customer balances through statements, shoppeesolar.

I can walk you through the easy steps on how to create and send statements in QuickBooks.

Statements is a gentle reminder or message that you can send to your customer when they have outstanding balances or invoices that will soon be overdue. We have three types of statements that you can use. These are the following:

  • Balance Forward - Lists invoices and payments with outstanding balances for a specific date range.
  • Open Item - Lists all open, unpaid invoices from the last 365 days.
  • Transaction Statement - Lists all transactions for the selected date range.

Here's how to create a statement:

  1. Click the +New button from the left panel and click Statements.
  2. Select the Statements Type and enter the Statement Date.
  3. Click the Customer Balance Status and set the Start and End date.
  4. From the list, click the customer and review the customer's email address.
  5. Click Save and send.
  6. Enter a message in the Body field and when you're ready, click Send.

You can also get an overview of your customer balances by running reports. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Find and open the Customer Balance Summary report.
  3. Select Run report.
  4. Review the customer's open balance in the Total column.

If you make a bank deposit with several payments in a single deposit, use the Undeposited Funds account to record the payments in QuickBooks. Then, you can create a bank deposit to combine all payments so it matches to the single deposit posted in bank feeds.
