create an asset register on Quickbooks

I'm thrilled to see you here in the Community, Pilate! Let's work together to create an asset register so you can manage your business's assets effectively in QuickBooks Online.

An asset register is a vital tool for strategic planning, effective resource management, and ensuring the sustainability of your business. Here's how to create on in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Navigate to the gear icon and select the Chart of accounts.
  2. Click New.
  3. Name the asset account.
  4. Choose Current assets or Non-current assets from the Account type dropdown.
  5. In the Detail type dropdown, select the option that best describes the asset.
  6. Enter the opening balance in the Opening Balance field and pick the starting date in the As of field. You can leave this balance as $0.
  7. Hit Save.
