Customer Name same and different business address, but not able to add in Quick book, It shows error for duplicate so kindly suugest on that

I'm here to help you sort this out, userbeyondgarage-fin.

We're unable to create a customer that already exists in QuickBooks Online. If you'd like to use the duplicate, we can edit its display name to successfully save it in the program.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Select the name of the duplicate customer, then click to open.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Change the Display name as format to last, then first.
  6. Once done, click on Save.

If the duplicate is no longer needed, we can make it inactive on the Customer Information page.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you keep your accounts, customers, and suppliers organised in QuickBooks: Merge Duplicates.

We're always here to share our ideas with you if you have other questions or concerns. You can click the Reply button to let us know.
