Hi,
Just trying to bring our German office online with QBO and the PDF files created by the invoice production routine don't match the preview or the template. The preview and the template show all the text in German language - however the PDF e-mailed to the customer defaults some of the text back to English.
Any ideas as QB Support can't help and have said they will refer to the developers.
regards

Hello there, @GrahamMackie.
Let's send feedback or product recommendations to help improve the features and your experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
With the multilingual invoicing feature in QBO, you can send invoices using another language. However, custom texts like the email body and products or services aren't translated. With this, I would encourage you to send suggestions or product recommendations. We'll take them as opportunities to improve the various features of our products.
Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team and will help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:
Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference in managing your customers, invoicing, payments, and handling sales transactions using QBO: Customers and income help articles for QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have other feature concerns or questions about managing invoices and income transactions in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care, and have a great day, @GrahamMackie.
Hi Rea,
This isn't a feature it is a clear bug as the preview invoice on screen and the actual invoice PDF look different.
Our German office have reported this bug but we were looking to go live this week so I was asking the community if they might have found a fix.
The fields in the wrong language aren't custom fields they are the system generated ones - see attached example.
regards
I appreciate you for getting back to us, GrahamMackie.
Thank you for adding a screenshot. It gives me a visual representation of your concerns.
As of now, you can send a translated invoice using the languages mentioned below:
As for German, you can modify and rename some information like the form names, description, amount, rate, quantity, and product/service fields. To edit these details, you can follow the steps laid below:
When you're ready to record the payment manually, you can check these references:
Also, I've removed your screenshots to ensure your data is protected to avoid any fraudulent activities.
I'll be around if you need help recording the payments.
Another option, consider having a free app to release invoices in German and integrate it with your QBO account to mirror the data. Another issue, does your company in Germany have to meet Datev requirements?
