How Can I Add Numbers For Chart of Accounts ? Need Feedback on my Email [removed]

I understand the importance of having the account numbers in the Chart of accounts, hero.

 

To add a number to your Chart of accounts and show them on reports and transactions, you’ll want to turn on the Enable account numbers and Show account numbers features in your Account and settings.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and settings.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Tap the Pencil icon in the Chart of accounts section.
  4. Turn on Enable account numbers and select Show account numbers.
  5. Click Save and then Done.

 

Once done, you can start assigning numbers to your account by following the steps below.

 

  1. In your Chart of accounts page, select the Pencil icon at the top right corner.
  2. Add account numbers in the Number column.                                          
  3. Hit Save.

 

Please know that you can’t allocate the same account number to more than one account. Check out this reference to learn more: Use account numbers in your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
