Creating and assigning customer types in QBO is currently available for the US version of QuickBooks. For QBO India, I recommend looking for a supported application that supports the feature through the apps store. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
You can also click on the Apps tab from your QBO account, then search for a third-party application from there.
I can see the importance of having the ability to create customer types in QBO India for your and other users. I'll take note of this and pass along the information to our product developers for future enhancements.
