I recognize the importance of adding a digital signature on your invoices. However, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). In the meantime, you can let your customer sign an estimate or invoice in QBO mobile app. Here's how: 

  1. Open your QuickBooks to select the three horizontal bars icon or Menu and choose Invoices.
  2. Pick an existing transaction, or create a new one.
  3. Fill in the fields with the correct information and click Save.
  4. Select Get Signature.
  5. Let your customer sign with their finger and tap the Done option.

 

For Android devices, I suggest following the steps I shared above (iOS). You'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you with this one. You can check out the apps that are compatible with QuickBooks at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. This is a one-stop-shop where you find software that integrates with the online program. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Apps on the left side menu.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search box to expedite the process.
  3. From the list, choose the one that best fits your needs or read the customers’ reviews first for a better comparison.

 

Any questions about integrating the app into your Online account are best handled by the third-party app provider. To personalise and add specific info to your sales forms, you can check out this article: invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. It outlines the complete steps to create a new template, tailor the appearance of your invoices, and personalize your email message, to name a few.

Allow me to step in and help you turn on the signature function in QuickBooks Online (QBO) app.

 

Once you capture signatures for your invoices or estimates, they will automatically be embedded in that transaction.

iOS

 

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Estimates or Invoices.
  2. Select an existing transaction or create a new one.
  3. Add any necessary information.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Select Get Signature.
  6. Have your customer sign with their finger.
  7. Select Done.

 

Android

 

  1. From the Menu ☰, select Estimates or Invoices.
  2. Select an existing transaction or create a new one.
  3. Add any necessary information.
  4. Select Done.
  5. Select Get Signature.
  6. Have your customer sign with their finger.
  7. Select Done.

Based on the image that you've shared, I can see that you're unable to see the Get Signature option. 

 

To address this problem, I'd suggest running some troubleshooting steps. Issues when adding signatures on your mobile application for QuickBooks can be fixed by clearing your app's data. This helps refresh applications and eliminates common issues. If you haven't tried the following steps, I suggest performing them.

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰ and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Tap Refresh Data.
  3. Tap Refresh to confirm.

 

If reinstalling the app, refreshing app data, and having a newer version of iOS or Android devices are still not working, I'd recommend contacting our technical support. This way, we'll be able to pull up your account and investigate the issue. Here's how to connect with us:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Select Contact Support Team.
  4. Type again Talk to a human and click Contact Support Team.
  5. Choose between Ask the community, or Chat
