How to do E-invoicing in quick book

I know how important it is to be GST compliant in QuickBooks, narayana-kv. I'm here to assist you with that.

To make your invoice GST compliant, we'll need to include details such as the company name, address, and GSTIN in your transaction. I'd recommend customizing your sales form template to add them.

To start, let's enable the customer's GSTIN in the printed invoice. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu.
  2. Select the Custom Form Styles tab.
  3. Locate the invoice template.
  4. Choose Edit, then click on Content.
  5. Click on the pencil icon to open the custom form.
  6. Select the Customer GSTIN checkbox.

Once done, you'll need to enable the HSN/SAC column. Here's how:

  1. From the Gear icon, select the Custom Form Styles tab.
  2. Locate the invoice template.
  3. Choose Edit, then click Content.
  4. Click on the pencil icon on the right in the second section of the custom form.
  5. Select the Item Code checkbox on the left section.
  6. After that, click on Done.

You can make the necessary changes to the custom form to ensure all the required details are available.

We've also added new features to make your GST experience complete. I've listed them below:

  • The Place of Supply will now be displayed in your printed invoice and will include the State Name and the State Code.
  • For the Invoice To and Ship To addresses, the printed invoice will now display the state code along with the name of the address.
  • The invoice in print/preview mode will display the tax summary along with the total computation.

Additionally, I've included these articles that'll help you record and manage invoices and their payment. This way, you'll be able to ensure your books are accurate:

Please let me know if you have other questions regarding the e-Invoice format, narayana-kv. I'm always here to help you out.
