How to set up multi-currency

Managing your QuickBooks account is our priority, istration. Let me help you set up the multi-currency feature within QuickBooks.

The Multicurrency feature is available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. If you have subscribed to one of the mentioned versions, you can find this option in Account and Settings under Home Currency. We can change your home currency if you haven't set up Multi Currency already. If this is the case, please follow the steps below to change it:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.

  2. Select Account and Settings. Then choose the Advanced tab.
  3. Go to the Currency section. Then click the pencil icon.
  4. Choose your Home Currency from the drop-down arrow.
  5. Hit the Save button. Then Done.

If multi-currency is enabled, please note that you cannot change the home currency in QuickBooks. This prevents any issues with your account, particularly when adjusting the sales tax. The fixed home currency is an integral part of the agreement before activating the Multicurrency feature in QuickBooks.

It's crucial to carefully consider your home currency choice before enabling the multi-currency feature in QuickBooks. Once activated, this decision becomes a permanent aspect of your QuickBooks setup, ensuring consistency and accuracy in your financial records and reporting.
