I am unable to view PRODUCTS column in the Sales Dashboard and the PRODUCT field is not shown while exporting the invoices to excel. Please help.

I am unable to view PRODUCTS column in the Sales Dashboard and the PRODUCT field is not shown while exporting the invoices to excel. Please help.

I'm here to provide the steps to ensure you can view the products column for your invoices when exporting from QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

We can pull up the Transaction Detail by Account report and customize it to include the Product/Services column when you export them to Excel. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. In the search field, you can enter and click on Transaction Detail by Account.
  3. Select the date range from the Report period.
  4. Choose the correct Accounting method.
  5. Tap on the Customise button, then from Group by section, select Transaction Type.
  6. Under the Rows/Columns section, ensure to add Products/Services and add what you want to show in the reports.
  7.  Click Filter and place a checkmark next to Invoice from the Transaction Type drop-down.
  8. Choose Run report and export it to Excel.
