I want to add signature to the invoice for mailing to the customers, how to add either a DSC or scan of signature on the invoice?

It’s nice to see you in the Community, diptisamdadia-gm.


I recognize the importance of adding a digital signature certificate (DSC) or a scan one on the invoice. Your clients no longer have to manually enter their signatures, which ensures the authenticity of the person signing. Let me help and provide alternate solutions on how to do this one in QuickBooks Online (QBO).


First, you can let your customer sign an estimate or invoice in QBO mobile app for a secure transaction. I’m here to guide you through the process of accomplishing this task.


In iOS:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks to select the three horizontal bars icon or Menu and choose Invoices.
  2. Pick an existing transaction, or create a new one.
  3. Fill in the fields with the correct information and click Save.
  4. Select Get Signature.
  5. Let your customer sign with their finger and tap the Done option.


For Android devices, I suggest following the steps I shared above (iOS). You can consider using a third-party application to help you get the digital signature option added to your sales forms.


To find one, go to the Apps menu on the left panel of your company. This will open a screen that shows all supported applications.apps.png Enter a keyword in the Search box to expedite the process. From the list, choose the one that best fits your needs or read the customers’ reviews first for a better comparison. Also, the QuickBooks Apps Center is a one-stop shop where you find software that integrates with the online program.
