If you are referring to creating a subaccount, we can make a new subaccounts of any main (or “parent”) account. Use them to keep your chart of accounts organised and make more detailed reports. Here's how:
To learn more about this one, see the Create subaccounts in your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online article. Feel free to visit our Account management page for more insights about running and managing your business in QuickBooks.
I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps, as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Please reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.
I'm here to provide insights about creating multiple companies in QuickBooks Online (QBO), asha_kanta_sharma.
To start, I want to verify if you'd like to create two companies under one subscription in QBO? If so, this option isn't available in the program. Each file should have its own paid subscription.
For more details about this, please see this article: Create or Add Another Company File.
Also, if you have multiple companies under separate accounts in QBO, you can make things easier by using one login detail to access them.
Once you've created your companies, I'd suggest checking out these articles to learn how to manage your chart of accounts. This ensures your books are accurate.
Please get back on this thread if you're referring to something else, asha_kanta_sharma. This way, we'll be able to provide an accurate solution to resolve your concern.
One QBO account is for one company file. You can manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account.
