PROBLEM - RECURRING INVOICES BEING ISSUED ON WRONG DATES AFTER RE-ACTIVATING THEM

Hi there, Ire Return.

I'll make sure your recurring invoice will issue on the right dates.

It could be the recurring invoices were set up to a different date. That's why the recurring entry being issued on the wrong dates after reactivating them. I suggest going to the recurring invoice template to check the date entered. Then, you're able to change the date from there.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Lists, select Recurring Transactions.
  3. In the Recurring Transactions page, find the recurring invoice template.
  4. Click the Edit link below the ACTION column.
  5. Edit the dates to the right one and to the correct interval.
  6. Click Save template.

For additional information, you can click this article: Edit a recurring template. This also provides details on what happens if you update items, customers, or settings used by recurring templates.

If the issue persists, I recommend using a private browser when accessing your QuickBooks account. This is to verify if we get the same result. And, this method prevents cookies from being stored on your computer, making it a great place to identify browser problems.

You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. You can check this article to see the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. If not, use another supported browser as alternatives.

Please refer to this article to see different steps on how to fix templates that didn't run and how to recreate the uncertain recurring template: How to handle a recurring transaction that did not run.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. I'm always here to help.
