Can i change the details on a packing slip?

The invoice packing slip format in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is currently built-in, jmhserv.

While it isn't currently possible to edit it to only show the Description column, I can provide a couple of workarounds to help you print the invoice packing slip in your desired format.

First, you can consider creating an invoice template to only include details as in the packing slip. You can follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Gear icon in your QBO account.
  2. Select Customer Form Styles
  3. Choose Invoice from the New drop-down list.
  4. From the Design tab, enter a name for the template. For example, "Packing Slip template".
  5. Select the Content tab.
    a. Click on the header tile on the right side. Then, type "Packing Slip" in the Form Names field.

    b. Click on the content tile next. Then, remove the checkmark for Product/Service, Rate, and Amount.

  6. Review other details. Then, hit Done.

To apply the custom invoice template to an invoice, click on Customise at the bottom portion of the invoice screen. Then, select the newly added template. I've also attached an image of how the Packing Slip using an invoice custom template would look like:

Alternatively, consider looking for a suitable third-party app for your invoicing needs that also offer customising packing slips. You can follow these steps to look for one:

  1. In your QBO account, go to Apps.
  2. Select Find apps.
  3. Type in keywords like "packing slips" or choose Browse categories.

To get insight about your sales transactions, you can run reports in QBO. I'm adding this article about running reports as future reference: Run reports in QuickBooks Online

We'll be here in the Community if you have further questions about customising or printing invoices in QBO. We're committed to offering ongoing support. Take care!
