I am trying to delete accounts in the chart of accounts list, but I don't see the delete option, only the "Make Inactive" option. Where can I find it?

All the documentation in the help center says that you simply go to the COA list and on any (empty) account you just click on the dropdown and there is the option to delete that account. Not in my case, I only see the inactive option.

Hello there, gianluca.

Let me share some details about deleting accounts in the Chart of accounts.

Currently, deleting accounts is unavailable, but you can make them inactive if you no longer want to use them. I'll guide you on how to do it.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Select the Action drop-down arrow and choose Make inactive.

We understand your need for functionality and would love to hear your thoughts about your experience removing accounts in the Chart of Accounts. It enables our product developers to consider this feature in future upgrades.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.
