We can check a few items in the Customers tab to verify your payment entry in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Brandon.

Let's begin by checking the status of your invoice to see if it indicates Deposited, which means that your customer has paid the invoice and you have already recorded the payment.

  1. Navigate to Sales, then Invoices.
  2. Search for the invoice transaction
  3. Verify the status of your transaction.

If the invoice shows as Deposited, we can check the Customers tab to see if the payment entry is linked to the correct customer.

  1. Go to Sales, then Customers.
  2. Search and click the customer's name you'd like to review.
  3. In the Transaction List, search for the Payment transaction.
  4. You can click View/Edit to review and verify the payment details.

If the issue persists, we can take some troubleshooting steps to ensure your payment is reflected in your books. I recommend opening an incognito window in your browser to access the product with a clean slate. You can use the following shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If your payment is reflected, please return to your regular browser and clear the cache for a fresh start. Additionally, switching to other supported browsers could also be worth a shot.

You can also visit this resource to review recorded transactions and their statuses in the Sales menu: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.
