Since you're encountering errors when accessing the search box, I suggest performing some browser troubleshooting steps. Sometimes, cache-related issues can cause QuickBooks Online (QBO) to load incorrectly, preventing you from searching in the invoices section.

 

Here are the key shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If there are no issues using a private browser, please go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.

 

Additionally, you can customise your invoices, estimates and sales receipts and make it personalised and professional-looking sales forms in QBO.

Thank you for responding and giving me some things to try.  Unfortunately, it still doesn't work.  And now I noticed the search box is gone.  So I'm guessing something is going on and they are working on the problem?

At the moment, we haven’t received any reports of errors with the search box in the invoice. I encourage you to contact our Customer Care team to report this issue, as they will start an investigation to address it promptly. To do this, follow these steps:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? page.
  6. Select Continue.
  7. Choose the Chat option to connect.  Contact QBO Support (ROW).png
