Update last years data for customers

Hi,

 

I am new to QBO and has started using this year. You can we update last years summary to customers so that the overall picture remains clear.

I need to update Invoice Total, Receipt Total, Mob Advance outstanding etc.

Update last years data for customers

Good day, George Michael.

 

l can share some tips on how you can achieve that.

 

Since you've just started using QuickBooks Online this year, you may need to reenter the last year's transaction to update your totals and customer balances. Feel free to follow these steps in recording the invoices.

 

  1. Click the + New button, then choose Invoice.
  2. Select the appropriate customer from the Customer drop-down menu.
  3. Review the invoice date. Make sure that it matches the date of the actual transaction.
  4. From the Product/Service column, enter a product or service. 
  5. Enter the quantity, rate, and other necessary information.
  6. Select the correct Tax option, then click Save and close.
  7. Once done, record the invoice payments manually.

Here's how to create a sales receipt:

 

  1. Click the + New button, then choose Sales receipt
  2. Select the appropriate customer from the Customer drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the correct transaction date and the other sales information, such as the payment method.
  4. Enter line items for the products or services you sold.
  5. Click Save and close.

Additionally, if you're using a different accounting program in the past, you'll want to import your data using a third-party application. This way, you don't have to manually enter the transactions. You can visit our QuickBooks App Market or go to the Apps menu within your QBO account to find one.
