I’d love to help you understand the difference between marking an invoice as void and deleting it, @aaron-bg. I’ll guide you through the process so you can tackle your task with ease and confidence.
When you void a transaction in QuickBooks, you'll still see it in your records, but it won't change your financial statements. On the other hand, if you delete a transaction, it's completely wiped from your records and won’t show up in any reports or accounts.
In the future, you can check the Audit Log to find detailed information about any transactions that have been deleted. This tool lets you see what transactions were removed and when they were deleted. However, it won't allow you to recover any deleted transactions.
If there's anything at all that you need clarification on or if you have additional concerns about deleting or voiding an invoice, please don't hesitate to ask. I’m more than happy to guide you through the process and ensure everything goes smoothly, and you feel completely at ease.
