QuickBooks allows you to select the user access rights when you assigned the standard user role. You can grant them full access, limited access.
A standard user role that is limited to Supplier and Purchases is ideal for assigning to a worker who needs access to Purchases.

Another option, consider having an inventory management app or a purchase order management app to integrate with QBO. You don't have to give any access to your QBO account.
