how do I upload missing bank transactions?

It's great to have you, @mary185. Allow me to guide you through manually inputting your transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you link your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks, it automatically downloads transactions up to a certain date, which may result in missing transactions. To manually add transactions, download them from your bank, ensuring the file is under 350 KB and has less than 1000 rows. If the file is too large, download transactions in smaller timeframes.

  1. Go to Transactions and select Bank transactions.
  2. Click the tile for the desired account.
  3. Choose the Link account, then Upload from file.
  4. Upload the file from your bank by clicking the Drag and drop or select files, then tick Continue.
  5. Select the QuickBooks account for the bank file from the Select a QuickBooks account for the bank file you want to upload dropdown, and click Continue.
  6. Match the file columns with the correct QuickBooks fields, and click Continue.
  7. Select the transactions to import and click Continue.
  8. To confirm, select Yes and Done.

Save time by creating bank rules in QBO for automated transaction categorization. For step-by-step guidance, check out this resource: Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

@mary185

You can use csv2qbo converter tool as a workaround. It's a $60 one time license.
