Hi there, @ken_43.

I'll help you edit the Donation account that you've created in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll also provide you the steps on how you can change it to a Charitable Contributions account.

All you need to do is to follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Search for the Donation account in the Filter by name field.
  3. Once you locate the account, click the drop-down arrow under the ACTION column and select Edit.chart of a.PNG
  4. Select Expenses in the Account Type drop-down list.
  5. Choose Charitable Contributions in the Detail Type drop-down arrow.
  6. Enter the name of the account in the Name field. You can also add more details in the Description field.
  7. Click Save and Close.
  8. Once prompt, select Yes.

Please take note that once you create changes to the type or details of the account, it will affect your accounting and reporting data in QBO.

In addition, you can also run a quick report of your accounts in QuickBooks. This way, you can check the transactions that are linked to them. All you need to do is to go the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts. Then, look for the account and click the drop-down list under the ACTION column. After this, choose Run report.

Don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'm always ready to help.
