Unable to save bills

Welcome to the Community space, fariyal-hotmail-.

I'd like to give some details regarding the error message and help you fix it.

When you get this error, it's possible that the card on file may be out of date, invalid, or the card issuer may have declined the payment. Since you updated your billing info but still have issues, you'll want to edit your payment method again. Before doing so, please check out the following:

  • Make sure there are no special characters or symbols (such as @ or *) in your billing address. Special characters will cause errors.
  • Make sure every field on the payment method screen is filled in, including the Postal code. If your address doesn't have a Postal code, enter 00000.
  • Make sure that the Billing address in your QuickBooks company file matches the address on your card.
  • Only the Company admin or the Primary admin can update the billing information. Make sure you have this access while reviewing your billing information.
  • Try to pay later. The system or connection may be available later on the day.
  • Use a different card. The balance or permissions of a different card can allow the payment.
  • Use a digital card. Digital cards are easily allowed to realise online payments.
  • Follow "Step 1: Update your billing info" in a private web browser. For Google, this is called Incognito mode and for Safari, it's a Private window. If you can update your billing info and don't see the error, you need to clear your web browser cache. Here are detailed steps for how to clear your browser cache.

Then, follow these step to update your billing information:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to the Gear Account and settings.
  2. On the left panel, click on the Billing & Subscription tab.
  3. Select the pencil icon for your Payment Method.
  4. Update your billing info.
  5. Click Save.

After the steps, try saving your bill again. Otherwise, contact our Customer Care Team to further investigate the error.
