Why is quickbooks malfunctioning today?

Welcome to the Community, ali. I'm here to assist you in fixing issues you're facing with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) so you can continue working on your books without hassle.

To help me better understand the issue, could you please provide me with the error message you received and attach a screenshot, if possible? This will help me provide you with an accurate solution.

QuickBooks Online is a web-based service that requires your computer or device to have sufficient processing power, memory (RAM), and a good internet connection to function properly. If any of these areas fall short, it can result in reduced performance and slow response times. Let's make sure that your system meets the requirements for QuickBooks Online.

For more information on how to get the most out of your QuickBooks Online experience, you can check this article: How to improve performance.

Sometimes, browsers can become overloaded with frequently accessed page resources such as cache and cookies, causing unusual responses. To isolate this, sign in to your QBO using a private browser

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result, I recommend switching to a different supported browser.

Additionally, you can check out the topics from our help articles for more tips about QuickBooks in the future. Here's the link: Help articles, video tutorials, and more for QBO International.
