Can I move two Different Quickbooks Desktop Files to 1 Quickbooks online and merge them?

Hello there.

Let me share some insights about the location tracking feature and moving QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file to QuickBooks Online (QBO) International.

Since you've set up two different branches as separate companies in QBDT, you're unable to move and merge them directly into one QBO account and manage them using the location tracking feature. Please note that converting the QBDT company file to QBO is only available in the US, UK, and Canada versions. With this, you'll want to utilize a migration tool or a third-party application to complete the migration and merging process for you.

After moving and merging your company file, you're set to use location tracking to categorize data from different locations, offices, regions, outlets, or departments of the same company in QBO. You can read this article for the complete guide: Set up and use location tracking.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing your business's growth and transactions in QBO: QuickBooks Learn and Support. It includes help articles, Community discussions with other users, and video tutorials, to name a few.

Let me know if you have other account management or location tracking concerns in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success.
