Failed to load PDF document.

This error occurs when the PDF application is outdated, Xavier. Let's troubleshoot your Adobe Reader/Acrobat to resolve the issue and load your PDF document.

Updating Adobe Reader/Acrobat helps resolve common issues with printing or downloading in QuickBooks Online (QBO), especially when the application includes critical bug fixes. Visit this website for detailed instructions on updating Adobe Reader/Acrobat to the latest version: Install Acrobat and Reader updates.

If the issue persists, repair your Adobe installation by following these steps:

  1. Ensure closing Acrobat/Reader and all open web browser windows.
  2. At the bottom left of your screen, pick Start.
  3. Enter Control Panel and click Enter.
  4. Choose Programs and Features, then Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
  5. Select Uninstall/Change and select Next in the Setup dialog box.
  6. Hit NextRepair, then Next again.
  7. Pick Install and Finish once the process is complete.
  8. Restart your computer and sign in to QBO to print and download your file.

This article covers all the necessary guides to fix PDF issues: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat.

I'm also adding this article for reference on how to personalise your sales forms in QBO: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
