Getting this error when syncing daily sales from Storehub to QBO "Business Validation Error: Please change the tax setting to "Out of Scope of GST" How to go about this?

Full error message is "Business Validation Error: Please change the tax setting to "Out of Scope of GST" for all GST transactions dated prior to April 1, 2015. You can make this your default tax setting under Company Settings > Advanced."

Sales was syncing fine before this but due to changes in QBO Admin, the integration to Storehub was disabled and enabled, and now this error appears.   No adjustment was made to any settings in QBO, and unable to locate this tax setting in QBO.

Getting this error when syncing daily sales from Storehub to QBO "Business Validation Error: Please change the tax setting to "Out of Scope of GST" How to go about this?

Welcome to the Community, Lily. I've got the steps you need in locating the Out of scope of GST tax rate in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The Business Validation Error prompt occurs when the data being processed does not meet certain business rules or requirements within the software.

To sort this out we can change your tax rate setting:

  1. Log in to your QBO account:
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Account and settings.
  3. Select Advance.
  4. In the Accounting section, click the Pencil icon.
  5. Choose Out of scope of GST in the Default tax rate selection dropdown.
  6. Click Save, then Done.

On the other hand, if you used API for your Storehub app connection, I recommend posting your concern in our Intuit Developer forum. They handle API-related concerns, software integrations, and developer-licensed-related concerns.

Here are the steps to follow when posting your concern on their page:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks product.
  3. Click on Ask a Question.
  4. Please sign in and follow the prompts appearing on the screen to continue.

Additionally, you can also customize your sales forms to add your personal touch.
