I will be glad to offer my assistance, r-szybiak.

Nonetheless, I would appreciate more information to gain a complete understanding of your issue or concerns. Can you please confirm what default settings you're referring to?

Providing further details would assist me in offering an accurate solution to address any concerns you may have.

HI, Is it possible to come back to the default settings ? Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I'll try to explain my issue. We will start using QB for our new entity and I've already made some changes in Chart of accounts (I imported some accounts), but now I wish to delete the imported accounts or come back to the default settings. Is it possible ?

HI, Is it possible to come back to the default settings ? Thanks in advance.

I appreciate sharing additional details about your issue, r-szybiak. I'm pleased to provide information on restoring the default settings or removing an imported Chart of Accounts.

If your account is less than 60 days old, you can wipe the data by purging it. Here's how:

  1. Ensure that you are logged in as an administrator.
  2. Go to the URL in your browser's address bar. Delete all the text and enter the following web address instead: https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
  3. Type Yes to confirm your intention to delete your company data.
  4. Click OK and select Wipe data to proceed with the deletion process.

However, if the account is 60 days or more, cancel your company and sign up for a new one.

For further information on deleting your data and initiating a new company file, please refer to this article: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, if you prefer not to purge or cancel your company, you can choose to deactivate accounts instead of deleting them. This allows you to retain access to their transaction history for reporting purposes. To learn more on how to make them inactive from your Chart of accounts, check this article: Make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other account-related problems or questions, please leave them in the comments section below. I'll continue to assist.
