Hi, my subscription payment attempt failed, the system shows to contact you. Please advise.

Let's get your QuickBooks Online account working, Julia.

What specific error message did you encounter when updating the billing information? This will help us know what exact steps we can do.

QuickBooks Online accepts MasterCard, Visa, or AmEx as your payment options. You just need to make sure you enter the correct details.

If the details are already correct, we can do browser troubleshooting steps. Though cache helps QuickBooks Online's background processes, it can also cause issues when piled up on your browser.

Here's how to get rid of any cache-related issues:

  1. Open a private browser and update the billing information from there. It still uses cache but doesn't store it.
  2. If you can do it successfully, we can clear the cache storage of your regular browser.
  3. Other supported browsers are good alternatives, too. Each of them uses different sets of cache.

If the same thing happens, that's the time I'd recommend emailing our Customer Care Team. They can review your account and help you update the billing information:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right corner and select Contact us.
  2. Enter the details of your concern such as "failed to update billing information" and select Let's talk.
  3. Select the email option and enter the necessary details.
