Hello, On a sales invoice, the tax item line says "USt. id. Nr." instead of "MwSt." How do I change this? I believe I created this mistake when I initially set up the Tax, by giving it the name USt. id Nr. I tried making it inactive and starting from scratch but without any luck. Thank you for your help...
Hello there, gilles,
QuickBooks Online will follow the initial setup you've made on the sales tax settings especially the tax agency name. You need to deactivate the tax rate or rename it, then recreate this tax rate to the new tax agency.
To change USt. id. Nr. to MwSt., let's create a new tax agency to get this resolve
Here's how:
Once done, you need to edit all transactions using the new tax code to show MwSt. name on each invoices. You can also check by creating a dummy invoice using the new tax code.
That'll get you going, gilles. You can now use the new tax code of the newly created tax agency name in all your sales transactions.
To know more about it, you can check out this article: Entering and Editing Tax Agency Info.
