How do I transfer existing data from a company(free trial) to a subscribed plan? I logged in to sign up a plan but instead created and paid to a new company. Thank you

If there’s a way to transfer data from the existing company (under free plan) to the new company (created accidentally as i intended to pay for the existing company under free trial) that would be great, to save up time re-enter the datas.

Hello there, @manchienchan-gma. I'll give you options on how you can save up your time in managing your existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) data.

Yes, there's a way to transfer your data from your existing company (under a free plan) to the new one. To do this, you'll have to log in to your trial account to export your list reports (suppliers, customers, inventory, and chart of accounts) to an Excel file. Then, import them to your newly subscribed plan.

To export your list report to Excel, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your free trial account that has your lists.
  2. Go to Business overview and select Reports.
  3. Depending on what list you need to export, search for and run Account List, Customer Contact List, Supplier Contact List, or Product/Service List report.
  4. Customise the list report's columns

After you export and save your reports, you're set to import them to your newly created company. For the detailed steps on importing each of your lists, please see Step 2 in this article: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

Then, you can download your bank transactions by connecting your accounts to QBO. To learn more about this procedure, please refer to this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, you can opt to cancel your newly created company and continue or pick up where you left off with your existing one (trial). This time, you need to make sure you subscribe within your trial account's Billing & subscription menu. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Choose the Billing & subscription menu.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, click Subscribe82.PNG
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference in managing the growth of your business using QBO: How can we help you QuickBooks Online?. It includes sections for Community discussions, helpful articles, and user guides, to name a few.

Let me know in the comments what option you choose. If there's anything else you need or concerns about managing your QBO data, I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @manchienchan-gma.
