When setting up an account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), the account's region is automatically determined by the specific regional website through which the subscription was purchased. This means that the country associated with your account is fixed at the time of creation and cannot be altered afterward.
If you want to change the country associated with your account, you'll need to create a new account and select the desired country. You can visit this link to initiate the process: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/.
Alternatively, you may want to consider using the Multicurrency feature, which allows you to record transactions in foreign currencies without the need to change your account's country. This functionality enables you to manage international transactions seamlessly while keeping your existing account configuration intact.
Here's how you can enable the multicurrency in your account:
1. Navigate to the Gear icon and proceed to Account and settings.
2. Hover over to Advanced tab.
3. Scroll to the Currency section, select Edit.
4. From the Home Currency dropdown, choose your preferred currency.
5. Turn on the Multicurrency feature by toggling the switch on. Please note that this action is irreversible.
6. Hit Save, then Done.
