I have set up a std profile for a user n the "journal" function is greyed out. I have changed the profile to admin - still the same. How do I give such access/function?

I appreciate the detailed information you've provided concerning the access right of a user, kadharrison.

There are no similar reported issues about this one. Let's determine if this has something to do with a cache-related issue. Try logging in to your QBO account using a private browser. There are times the browser that is full of frequently accessed page resources may have caused unusual responses in QuickBooks.

Here are some keyboard shortcuts for you reference:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works, go back to your default browser perform a clear your browser's cache. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you can work with a clean slate. As an alternative, you can also try a different supported browser.

If none of the above recommendations work, I'd suggest reaching out to our live support agents. They have available tools to take a look into your account and can further investigate what's causing this unexpected behavior in QBO.

I'm also including these links on how to manage users in QBO:

I'd appreciate it if you'd update me on how the steps work and how the call goes. I want to make sure this is taken care of.
