To start creating a project in QuickBooks Online, you'll need to turn on this feature from Account and Setting. Before doing that, please note that as mentioned by Fiat Lux - ASIA this feature is only available for QuickBooks Online Plus.
Here's how to turn on the feature:
1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
2. Choose Account and Settings.
3. Go to the Advanced tab.
4. Locate the Projects section and select the Pencil (Edit) icon.
5. Checkmark the box beside of Organize all job-related activity in one place.
6. Press Save. Then, Done.
After that, you can create now your first Project. Follow these steps:
1. Choose Projects in the left-hand menu bar.
2. Click the New Project button on the right-hand side of the screen.
3. Enter the required information (Project name, customer, and any additional notes that you may want to add).
4. Hit Save.
