"If you need to connect to banks with different currencies, upgrade to QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus" my bank Mercury and USD account why by warning ?

The multi-currency feature is available only to QuickBooks Online versions Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. This feature allows you to do business in foreign currencies.

You are getting this prompt despite connecting your Mercury and USD accounts because your subscription is from the Global version of QuickBooks Online, and the said feature needs to be enabled.

With this, if your plan is Simple Start, you'll want to consider upgrading to the Essentials or Plus version of QBO. However, if you already have the right Essentials or Plus, you can proceed to enable the multi-currency feature. I'd be glad to show you how.

  1. Go to Settings and pick Account and Settings.
  2. Click Advanced, and in the Currency section, select Edit ✎.
  3. From the Home Currency ▼ dropdown, choose your currency.
  4. Turn on the Multicurrency switch and confirm that you understand that you can't undo this option.
  5. Tick Save, then Done.
