Let's carry out some simple troubleshooting in the interim so you can access your account. Please allow me to help you with how to retrieve the User ID if you forgot it. The completion of this task will only take a few minutes.
To successfully log in to QuickBooks, first, let's check that the appropriate data or user ID is entered. If you're getting the same issue, try logging in using an incognito or private browser. Refer to these shortcuts below:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N
Besides this, if QuickBooks is linked to your email address, Intuit will send a one-time code to that email to grant you access to your account. You can also use your number to get a code via text message.
If you're unable to recover your password, you can still have an option to reset it.
Here's how:
- On the Sign In page, tap the link for I forgot my user ID or Password.
- It will take you to the Get help signing in to QuickBooks window.
- From there, enter your phone number or email address in the field box and click Continue.
- Choose how you want to reset your login information: Get a code emailed to or Recover my account differently.
- Hit the Continue button.
- If you used your email address to verify the account, you’ll receive an email with your user ID.
