You usually encounter this issue if the user ID or password you enter is incorrect. If you're sure that the login credentials are accurate, I recommend you perform some troubleshooting steps.

 

Since the Sign-in window is showing locked temporarily, the browser's stored cache may be full. It can cause unusual behavior in QuickBooks, like the problem you encounter when logging into the account.

 

I'd first suggest signing into your account using a private browser. This process allows you to access sites without storing any data in the cache. Thus, it's a great way to isolate browser-related issues.

 

If you're using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press the CTRL + Shift + P shortcut on your keyboard. For Safari, hit Command + Shift + N. Press CTRL + Shift + N if you're using Google Chrome. 

 

From there, please try to sign in to your QuickBooks. If it works, let's clear your browser's cache to have a clean slate, so it'll function efficiently.

 

In case private browsing doesn't work, use other supported web engine to get the best and most secure experience with the program.

 

If the problem persists, you can try to reset your password. This way, we'll be able to ensure the information you enter is accurate.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. From the sign in page, select I forgot my user ID or Password.
  2. Enter your phone number, email address, or user ID, then select Continue.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. If you used your email address to verify your account, you'll receive an email with a password reset link.
