QuickBooks system has been running very slow recently, including loading pages and saving transactions. This is affecting our daily work.

We are experiencing consistent slowness across multiple functions in QuickBooks. Login takes a long time to complete, creating and saving invoices is delayed, and loading reports takes significantly longer than usual. Page navigation is slow, and the system often freezes or lags during regular daily operations. This issue is impacting multiple users and affecting our productivity.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) is designed with efficiency in mind, and the frequently used pages should typically load within 10 seconds.

 

However, performance can sometimes be influenced by factors such as your internet connection, system setup, or browser settings. Let’s go through some steps to improve your experience:

 

  1. For the best performance, we recommend using Google Chrome with QBO. If you’re already using Chrome, ensure it’s up to date to the latest version. To check, go to the Chrome menu, click Help, then select About Google Chrome to see if an update is available.
     
  2. Since QBO relies heavily on your internet connection, a slow or unstable connection can affect performance. You can run a Google Speed Test to check your current bandwidth. Look for a download speed of at least 3 Mbps for optimal performance. If the connection seems slow, restarting your router or contacting your internet provider might help.
     
  3. Ensure your system meets or exceeds the system requirements for QuickBooks Online. A lack of sufficient processing power or memory (RAM) can contribute to slowness.

We would like to confirm that we have already tried all the recommended actions, including using different browsers, updating Google Chrome to the latest version, and performing internet speed tests. Our internet speed meets the required bandwidth, and there are no connectivity issues observed.

Regarding system requirements, we have been using the same system for more than one year without any performance issues. The slowness has started only recently, and no changes were made to the system setup prior to this issue.

Since all standard checks have already been completed, we would appreciate further guidance to help identify the root cause and resolve this issue as it is impacting our daily work.
