How do I fix bank error 103? It says I have added too many numbers when inputting my card number?

There are several processes to resolve bank error 103, and I'm here to share them with you, northwest.

This error occurs if you've entered incorrect bank credentials when connecting your account. The troubleshooting instructions below can help you resolve this.

Step 1: Double-check and ensure your log-in details are correct:

  1. Go to your bank's website and try logging in using the User ID and Password of the account you want to fix in QuickBooks.
  2. If you can seamlessly do so, take note and use this sign-in to connect to QuickBooks.
  3. However, if you received a log-in error, it's advisable to reset your User ID and Password.

Step 2: Input your bank sign-in credentials in QuickBooks.

For existing connection:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, then Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the bank tile of the account you need to access.
  3. Click its designated Pencil icon and select Edit sign-in info.
  4. Manually enter the account's User ID and Password.
  5. Once done, hit Save and connect.

If you want to connect an account for the first time:

  1. Select the Connect account or Link account option from the Bank transactions page.

  2. Enter the bank's name or its web address in the Search bar.
Enter bank name or url on the search bar.png
  3. Choose your bank from the list and manually enter the account's User ID and Password.
  4. Follow the on-screen process of connecting an account.

Nevertheless, I recommend contacting our Support Team if you encounter the same result. Our team can help you thoroughly in fixing this matter. You can also consider manually importing your transactions momentarily.
