Whenever my invited user opens link in the email to create account, the attached message is received.

This is a common glitch with QBO. Use another email provider (e.g. yahoo, hotmail) to accept the invitation as a workaround. Once you can access your account, change it to Gmail if necessary.

Hi there, @faisalshivani.

Allow me to provide you with valuable insights to help you invite user users to open the link in the email and create an account in QuickBooks Online.

As suggested by 4Gal, indeed you can use another email provider (e.g., Yahoo, Hotmail) to accept the invitation as a workaround. Once you can access your account, change it to Gmail if necessary.

If the issue still persisted, you could follow the steps below to troubleshoot the browser and check if the error is resolved after each step:

  1. Ensure that Scripts and Cookies are enabled in the browser. If the error persists, proceed to the next step.
  2. Close the web browser entirely, ensuring that there are no multiple windows open.
  3. Open Task Manager and go to the Details tab.

Note: Do not end the explorer.exe process as it is a vital component of the Windows Operating System (OS) and could cause problems with the OS. Look for the executable associated with the browser used to open QuickBooks Online: Chrome.exe (Chrome), Firefox.exe (Firefox), or Msedge.exe (Microsoft Edge).

  • Chrome.exe (Chrome)
  • Firefox.exe (Firefox)
  • Msedge.exe (Microsoft Edge)
  • Select and highlight the executable, then click on End Task for any remaining instances running.
  • Close Task Manager.
  • Re-open the browser and check if you can now log into QuickBooks Online without the error.
