Automatically add image attachments to products or organizing/filtering the attachment list

I looking for help on a way to organize attachments and easily add them to estimates. Currently I add attachments to every estimate to show an example of the product being sold. We also add an image of the layout of the project area, which is unique to each estimate (This adds more and more images to the previously added attachments list, making it take longer to search through).

Currently we do this by scrolling through a massive, unorganized list that shows the previously added attachments. This isn't idea as it takes quite a while to find the image we are looking for and we can't seem to find a way to filter or organized these images in anyway.

I've tried adding a picture to the product, but it doesn't show up anywhere that the client could see? I have no idea what to purpose of that feature is if the picture doesn't show up on any estimates.

As, we send more and more estimates, this process just gets more time consuming. I'm sure we can't be the only user who would like to automatically add an image when a product is added to an estimate. I've tried contacting support, but they haven't been much help with this. Any insight on how to do this or a good work around would be greatly appreciated.

Automatically add image attachments to products or organizing/filtering the attachment list

I also wish to add this function to QuickBooks, @Jtvail.

I appreciate all the efforts you've made about image attachments concern. This feature is time-saving if it'll be available in QuickBooks Online. That said, I'll help you make everything possible in QuickBooks.

I know how helpful your company can be if QuickBooks automatically adds images to products and services in whatever form you're created. With this, I'll route you to the page where you can post feature requests to our product engineers. It enables our engineers to develop a solution to enhance your overall QuickBooks experience.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon on the upper right pane
  2. Select Feedback
  3. Type your suggestion in the box and click Next.

Many of the program's current features are available because of user feedback. Also, QuickBooks has a website where you can vote on and provide comments on any future suggestions. To access the page, visit this link: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks.

Alternatively, you can also find a third-party app that automatically attaches images to items in our QuickBooks Apps store.

Visit these articles below about accepted attachments characters, file types, and others:

Are there any other questions or features that require special attention in QuickBooks? If you have, add this in the comments section below. I'm happy to assist you again, Jtvail.

Automatically add image attachments to products or organizing/filtering the attachment list

I imagine this would be a great feature for a lot of people and it seems it could be fairly simply implemented by automating the existing attachment function to add a predefined (could use the existing function to uploaded picture for a product) to automatically add that file path to the attachment box when the product is added to a estimate or invoice.

What is the current function of adding an image to a product or service for? Perhaps I can use that in some way as it's already implemented QuickBooks. Also, you mentioned a third party app, but I looked around and couldn't find one that said it did this. Would you please recommended one that adds this functionality.

Is there any way to filter or organize the list of attachments that have been previously added to an estimate?

Any work arounds or other options beside wait on a new feature(s) to be added would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Automatically add image attachments to products or organizing/filtering the attachment list

Thanks for the prompt reply, @Jtvail.

Allow me to provide additional information about your attachment concern.

Since we can't suggest a specific third-party app you can use, I suggest searching the app by google to view the list of apps that you might need.

To filter the attachment added to an estimate, you can go to the attachment page to do that.

Lastly, I've also included these articles to know more about accepted attachments characters, file types, and others:
